FAQ’s

  • What is a full spectrum doula?

A full-spectrum doula supports families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I offer evidence-based guidance, emotional support, comfort techniques, newborn care education, and hands-on help throughout the entire perinatal journey.

  • Are you certified?

Yes — I’m a certified full spectrum doula and newborn care specialist. I provide evidence-based, baby-led, judgment-free support.

  • Do you support hospital, birth center, and cesarean births?

Yes — I support hospital births, birth center births, inductions, epidurals, unmedicated births, and planned or unplanned cesarean births. My role is to help you feel informed, grounded, and supported in every birth scenario. My goal is always to advocate for you.

  • What does birth support include?

Birth support includes prenatal meetings, birth preferences planning, continuous labor support, comfort and positioning techniques, partner guidance, and calm reassurance from early labor through the first hours after your baby arrives.
I also provide support for cesarean births — helping you prepare, offering emotional grounding before surgery, supporting your partner, and assisting with immediate postpartum needs.

  • What’s included in overnight postpartum support?

Overnight care includes full newborn care throughout the night—feeding support, diapering, soothing, burping, safe sleep, and keeping your baby settled so you can sleep deeply. I also clean pump parts and bottles, refresh baby spaces, and provide gentle sleep shaping as your baby grows.

  • Do you support families with twins or multiples?

Yes! I have experience supporting families with twins and understand the unique rhythms, feeding needs, and soothing techniques that come with caring for multiples. Whether you’re navigating double feeds, staggered sleep, or simply need two extra hands, I’m there to help make everything feel more manageable.

  • Do you support C-section recovery?

Yes. I help with mobility, comfort, positioning for feeding, rest support, and newborn care so your body can stay protected and healing.

  • Do you support breastfeeding and bottle feeding?

Absolutely. I support breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, combo feeding, and formula with zero judgment. I meet families exactly where they are.

  • What’s the difference between sleep shaping and sleep training?

Sleep shaping happens during the newborn stage (0–4 months). It’s gentle, responsive, and never rigid. It helps create healthy habits, age-appropriate wake windows, and calm nighttime rhythms.

Sleep training is for older babies (typically 5+ months) once they are developmentally ready. It involves a structured plan to support longer stretches of independent sleep using responsive, evidence-based methods.

  • What areas do you serve?

I serve families in Lockhart, Kyle, Buda, San Marcos, Bastrop, and Austin, Texas.

  • How far in advance should we book?

Most families reach out around 12–20 weeks pregnant, but I recommend booking as early as you’re able. My calendar fills quickly, especially for birth support and overnight care, and securing your spot early ensures I’m available throughout your entire perinatal journey.

  • Do you require a minimum number of hours for postpartum support?

For daytime care, I typically book 4–6 hour daytime shifts.
For overnight care, I offer 8–10 hour shifts.

  • Can I combine birth and postpartum support?

Yes — many families choose a combination of services for the most continuous care. We can customize a plan that fits exactly what you need.
